Pam's View - Blueberry Picking

We took advantage of the cool weather first thing this morning to go blueberry picking at Russell's in Contoocook.

Pam's View - Potato Harvest

It is time to harvest our potatoes. This was our first year planting potatoes so we were not sure what to expect to find under the dirt.










We harvested a large paper grocery bag full. Not enough to feed us through the winter but the experiment proved we can grow potatoes so we'll plant a larger crop next year.

Pam's View - Surfing at Grammie and Grandpa's

One of Alix and Chance's favorite things to do at their Grammie and Grandpa's is to surf with Grandpa in the pool. Grandpa holds them steady on a boogie board and then very slowly and steadily moves the surfer around the pool.

Watch to see how Grandpa's head makes for a quick place to put your hands to catch your balance.

Pam's View

Tonight we told A&C to get on their pjs, grab a pillow and load up in the car. Of course their first response was, "Are we going to Canada." Since that's what happened the last time we told them to put on their pjs and grab pillows. But no, we were not going to Canada. We took a much shorter ride this time




to see the new Harry Potter.

This was their first time at the drive-in and they were so excited!

Paul's View

Pam's View - Pitcher Mountain and Nubanusit Lake

For the past several years we have gone to Pitcher Mountain in Stoddard blueberry picking. And every year we can't remember when the peak blueberry picking time is.


We enjoyed the short hike up the mountain.






And the hunt.

Chance scrambled up the fire tower.

But we were a wee bit too early for blueberries. Alix found a few raspberries though.

We were not too early for the amazing views though.

After leaving empty-handed we drove over to Nubanusit Lake for some time on the water.

We discovered a rope swing and A&C were eager to try it out. We dropped them off at the shore and watched from the water.

Hot off my knitting needles are a pair of bright socks for Alix. She is thrilled with them and wants to wear them even in the heat of July.
