•  We tried to beat the heat by going for an early-ish morning walk with Neko.  By 8:30 it was already hot and humid.
• Paul convinced me into taking the kayaks out to the Merrimack River.  We were gone for a couple of hours in the late morning.  We spent some time in a shallow spot so Neko could get out and swim.  I had to agree with Paul it was a good idea.
• Brought the screen door from the slider to the hardware store to have a new screen installed.  Hopefully the new one will be more cat-proof.
• Big wind and thunderstorm moved in before dinner.  Heavy rain and lots of lightning.  We had one tomato plant casualty from the wind.
• Salmon over greens from the garden for dinner.  
• We watched an episode each of Modern Family and The Middle as a family before saying goodnight to A and C.
