Summer Sponge Fun

I found this great cool-down craft mentioned here at Betz White's blog

http://blog.betzwhite.com/2008/06/sponge-balls.html

and at The Crafty Crow blog which features tons of kid's crafts pulled from other blogs

http://belladia.typepad.com/crafty_crow/

Supplies are simple: sponges, scissors, dental floss, and water.

Take sponges (Chance used four, Alix used three, the directions call for two).

Cut the sponges into four strips lengthwise.

Stack the sponges strips with four across. Tie the floss around the bundle and pull tight.

Wa! La! A sponge ball. Add a bucket of water or a swimming pool and have fun.
