I finally made the time to try the Mindfulness and Meditation class at 8 Limbs this afternoon. I am so very glad I did. It was a wonderful hour spent belling breathing while peacefully and silently repeating,
“Breathing in, I know I am breathing in;
breathing out, I know I am breathing out.”
"I am here,
I am now."After the sitting/breathing meditation we did something new to me, walking meditation. We concentrated on our feet as we walked the perimeter of the studio. We walked with slow deliberate steps. There should be no thoughts of getting somewhere, only where I am, here and now.
I left with Shanti recommending I be aware of my feet. Focus when I put on my shoes and and when I take off my shoes. Not where I have been or where I am going. Only the act of putting on/off my shoes.
Now if I can just justify the expense of doing something just for me I would joyfully go again.
