- I jumped back into bed after breakfast and finished reading The Winter of Our Disconnect by Susan Maushart. This chronicle of her family's six-month experiment of disconnecting from TV, cellphones, i-pods, computers, and video games makes me want to be more consistent with our Unplugged Sundays. And I started reading The Postmistress.
- I had a fun conversation with two young brothers who live in our neighborhood. They stopped me to pat Neko and for nearly ten minutes we talked about the reasons why they would not want to get a dog -- walking in snow, walking in the rain, walking in the lightning (I assured them I didn't walk in the lightning either) , how cool their school is (they go to the same charter school as Alix and Chance), the long car ride they were taking to Boston without their DSi.
- I made chocolate chip cookies and we promptly ate a dozen before lunch.
- The streak of fabulous weather was finally broken. The pouring rain arrived in the afternoon.
- Popcorn for lunch
- Made the Pioneer Woman's Frito Chili Pie recipe which was an amazing hit. I tweaked it by substituting the ground beef for Yves Meatless Ground Round.
- We introduced the kids to James Bond 007. We watched The World is not Enough with Pierce Brosnan. I wished we had watched one with Sean Connery instead.
