16.April

So much accomplished this Monday.

• I have been insanely aggravated with squirrels walking along the wire that holds several of my bird feeders and then chowing down at their all day buffet.  This morning I mentioned to Paul how pissed-off it makes me.  His solution was simple.  He cut a piece of cardboard about a foot square and sliced a slit to the center and attached it to the wire. Now the squirrels cannot get past the wobbly cardboard.  I feel stupid for a) not thinking of it myself and b) not mentioning the problem to Paul before today.  

• Four loads of laundry washed and hung on the clothesline to dry.  Grocery shopping done.  Kitchen floor washed to remove the stickiness of spilled apple juice.  

 

• After a knee and shoulder skinning accident, Paul helps Chance adjust his brakes.  

• I finished reading All Over Creation by Ruth Ozeki.  I'm on a good book roll.

• The Co-op was still out of burger so I tried the Meat House a butcher/grocery shop near A & C's school.  I was happy to find that they carry natural grass-fed beef from Maine.  And because it was my first visit to the store they included two marinated steak tips.  Dinner was fabulous.
