So it's been two months since I have spent any time here. It's not that I haven't wanted to post. It's just as the days went by the task became daunting. But it's time. Time to just do a big dump to catch up and then start fresh.
In February:
I turned forty-four. How can that be.
Paul, Neko and I made it once into the woods for walk.
A & C celebrated spirit week at school. Alix was all over "Wacky Wednesday".
Alix continued to play Guitar Hero/Rock Band almost nightly.
We welcome the later setting sun.
After being parked nearly six years we said goodbye to the Ranger Rover.
I volunteered two mornings at our local Public Radio station during the spring fund drive. I enjoyed the time. I need to see what other volunteer opportunities they may have.
Paul spent a week in England. Next time it would be wonderful if I could tag along.
Mid-month the temperatures soared into the high 80's and 90's. It was fabulous. Yard clean up from the fall finally was completed. Neko preferred to watch from the comfort of the van.
Upon returning home from our walk, Neko noticed this Amaryllis leaf in our backyard. He barked, grunted and growled at this dangerous intruder. All I could do was laugh and be grateful that he takes my safety so seriously.
The amaryllis that Paul gave me as a birthday gift several years ago is being very poky about growing this year. We were a little nervous it wasn't going to happen so he purchased two new ones for me. One is already blooming.
Paul gave me this Amaryllis for my birthday four years ago. Every year he replants the bulb, timing the flowering for my birthday. It's one of my all time favorite birthday presents.
